Yes, with a 50th percentile score in JEE Main as an ST (Scheduled Tribe) candidate, you have a good chance of getting into several engineering colleges, including some NITs (National Institutes of Technology) and IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology). While it might not get you into the very top NITs or IITs, it's definitely a possibility for other NITs and IIITs, especially with the ST category reservation.
