It depends on the category that you belong to. The cut off percentile to qualify in JEE Main is different for each category. Last year the cut off was as follows to qualify in JEE Main
- General: 90.3765335
- EWS: 70.2435518
- OBC-NCL: 72.8887969
- SC: 50.1760245
- ST: 39.0696101
- PWD: 0.0618524
In 2021 the cut off percentile is expected to be as follows
- General 90-95
- EWS/OBC-NCL: 70-75
- SC: 50-55
- ST: 40-45
- PWD:1-2
If you belong to general/EWS/OBC-NCL category then you do not have chances to qualify in JEE Main and appear for JEE Advanced. If you belong to SC/ST/PWD category you may have chances to qualify in JEE Main and appear for JEE Advanced. Cut off depends on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. It may increase or decrease depending on these factors.
It depends on your category. The cutoff for this year has not been declared yet but you can get a very good idea from the previous years' cutoff.
