I got 640 score and 1515 rank in CSE 2019. Can I get any new IIT or any good NIT?

1515 rank in GATE CSE 2019 is a decent score. Although the chances of getting old IITs and IISc are very less, but you still can get admission into IIITs and some of the old NITs.

For old IITs and IISc 800+ is a safe score, however for students who opt for TA (Teaching Assistanship) and RA (Research Assistanship), 700+ is a safe score.

Of all the choices available, the best choice is to get into IIT Guwhati Theoretical computer sciences.

For Old NITs it varies from NIT to NIT, but having a score of 600+ you can into one of these
