i got 6543 rank in jee advanced please suggest how to put my preferances

Taking into account the rank that you have scored and assuming the fact that you are a general category candidate, it will be difficult for you to get any branch in old IITs except the least preferred ones and in case of new IITs, you might be able to get the middle level branches.

As for your preferences, put them normally in the order of the most preferred to least preferred, no need to worry about them. This is because in counseling process, all choices of the candidate with better rank are considered before moving to the next ranked candidate.
