If you have qualified any competetive exam then only nit or iit, You can join in engineering but you have to work hard. i explained the whole procedure regarding admisiion in engineering below:-
7 6 7 6 0 8 0 0 0 8 for admission helpline, According to my view point both the colleges are in the best college in Bangalore.
To get Admission in engineering you need to pass 12th(pcm) with 60% only this much marks is enough to get admission in any engineering college in bangalore.
Engineering College Admission is done as per the Gov. of Karnataka norms and the admission matrix is anounced by them.
Out of total seats 45% of the seats are filled by the CET conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
30% of seats are filled through CET conducted by Private managements associations (COMED-K) and
25% by Management, all by merit.

Candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination for IIT/NIT/IIIT/GFTI .
Maharastra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education last 2 years top 20 percentile cut off (General Category )was:
2016- 69.6
2015- 68.5
So, You are eligible for NIT/IIT admission. To get admission in Top NITs like Warangal, Surathgal, Tiruchirappalli, You should try to score more than 220 marks in JEE Main.
For IITs, it's difficut to predict marks as JEE Advanced exam maximum marks are not defined :
Maximum Marks vary every year like below:
2016- 372
2015 - 504
2014 - 360
So, it is difficult to predict marks as exam pattern and marks change every year but you should score more than 50% marks to get good branch in Top IITs
Good Luck
