It actually depends on the category you belong to. If your category is reserved then there are chances for you to get into government funded technical institutions (GFTIs). If there is any NIT in your home state then there are chances for you to get into it.
But if you are from general category then the probability is really grim. In that case I would suggest you to go for another attempt if you wish to study in government college only else you can prepare for entrance exams of private colleges or you could see for the colleges accepting students through jee mains.
