As you know cutoff for top b-schools are above 95+ percentile in CAT with a good profile and there are very few top b-schools which offer MBA at low fees. The colleges with low fees are FMS delhi, JBIMS, FMS-BHU, NITIE mumbai, DU, Tiss mumbai, IIT-delhi, mumbai and roorke. These are some colleges which offer MBA at very low fees but these all colleges have very high cutoff for the admission. At 68 percentile it's very difficult to grab admission in these colleges either if you have a very strong profile.
You can apply for NDIM, christ university Bangalore, BITS pilani, MIT pune, PIBM pune these are few good colleges which accept cat score in range of 60-70 percentile with fees approx 6-8 lacs. Nirma university also accepts this score but its fees is approx 11 lacs but its a very good b school so you should apply in all these colleges and to convert in these colleges you have to perform very good in your gd and pi.
Best of luck
Hi Himanshu,
Since your CAT percentile is considerably low for you to get into a quality institution, I personally advise you to look for options with your NMAT scores because that way you still have better opportunities at hand.
With your NMAT score and according to your requirement of an economical MBA course, you can definitely apply to any of the following colleges -
1. Amity University
2. Alliance University, Bangalore
3. UPES, Dehradun
4. Mody University, Jaipur
5. HBS, Hyderabad
6. ITM, Navi Mumbai
7. IBS (ICFAI B-Schools), Hyderabad
8. BSE Institute Ltd - Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai
9. BML Munjal, Gurgaon
10. WOXSEN, Hyderabad
I hope this will help you, these are all well known colleges. I wish you all the best!b
