Sorry but you won't be getting a seat in NITs at this rank. 77 percentile is a bit low and corresponding rank will be more.Try for one more year if you are a fresher and with a right strategy hope you get a decent rank next time and you will sure get through. All the best!!

as you secured 77 percentile in the JEE-mains examination it is very good
the NIT cutoff for the reservation candidates will be at low rate so you have a chance to get in to the NIT colleges
dont expect to get in to the TOP NITs because they are heavily competitive
you have a chance of getting NITs in the northern states
