I got 78% in 10th and 59% in 12th, completed EC engineering with 7.2 CGPA. having 1 year experience in internet analyst. what are the option available for me in MBA also if I want to go in IIM...is there any chances..??
All the IIMs consider the academic scores. There should be minimum of 50 percentage for the general category and 45 percentage for categories like SC,ST and PWD.
The CAT percentile is mainly taken for the IIMs. When two candidates have the same score in CAT exam then other factors like academic scores and work experience is taken into consideration. So the academic score and work experience also paly an important role in getting into IIMs.
IIM-A admission criteria is:
It is based on the percentile in CAT,AWI and PI ,past academic scores,co-curricular achievements,work experience.
IIM-B admission criteria:
Evaluation of is done based on CAT score, past academic scores,WAT (Writing Ability Test) ,personal interview,work experience.
The weightage for the selection is:
CAT score - 25 percentage
PI - 30 percentage
WAT- 10 percentage
Bachelor's degree -10 percentage
Work experience-10 percentage
10th marks- 10 percentage
12th marks- 5 percentage
IIM Calcutta admission criteria:
Now IIM Calcutta has changed the name of PGP diploma to MBA . It has included the weightage for WAT and PI
IIM Lucknow admission criteria:
The criteria taken for the exam is 60 percentage along with past academic score, work experience,diversity.
IIM Indore:
IIM also consider gender diversity academic diversity,WAT ,PI,work experience.
IIM Udaipur admission criteria:
It has much weightage to CAT score alone with academic scores and work experience.
IIM Kashipur ,Ranchi , Nagpur, Jammu l, Bodhgaya Sanbalpur Amritsar consider CAT score,work experience and academic scores.
IIM Kozhikode has no weightage for bachelor's degree.
IIM Raipur give higher female ratio and finally it gives 35 percentage of weightage for CAT and 65 percentage for PI and WAT.
IIM Rohtak also gives 35 percent for CAT and 65 percent for WAT and PI.
IIM Trichy take 50 percent foe CAT score and 50for WAT PI,academic scores, work experience.
The key components of IIM Admission criteria are more or less same but they are used at different stages.

According to you query, for getting admission into MBA programme, the student must have a graduate degree under 10+2+3 Or 10+2+4 format under any course from a recognized university Or institution. There are different courses in MBA like-

Now coming to IIM, the eligibolity criteria for IIM is that the student aspiring to take admission in iim must have a bachelors degree under any field with an aggregate of minimum 50% marks (general/OBC) and 45% marks ( ST /SC /Pwd). The student also need to sit for an entrance test which is CAT( common admission test) and qualify the exam. So as per your results you are much eligible to sit for the exams.
