i got 82%tile can i get seat in NIT or not? i am OBC

For an obc candidate, the rank upto 15000 can make one eligible to get admission in NITs.

For your percentile the rank is calculated as
(100-percentile)number of students appeared/100

The sum is equal to 148000-204000, so it's not actually possible to get NITs, better luck next time.

According to the formula, [100-82*869010/100], your All India Rank is 156421 approximately. Since you belong to the OBC category, your category rank will be around 63000-64000 approximately. You have not mentioned your home state and the branch you want to choose.

You can get a seat in some NITs only if you come under the Home State Quota. You can check the cut-off ranks of all the NITs from the link given below:

Also note that the cut-off rank changes every year depending on the difficulty of the paper,and the number of candidates appearing for it.
