i got 83.3..% can i get nit am from general category?

The exact prediction would be difficult regarding your admission possibilities based on your percentile. But with this percentile the chances seems less to qualify the exam or get a seat in NITs, IIITs & GFTIs as General category.

You can try for the state level counselling. I would also suggest you to appear for JEE Main April Session 2020 which application form is expected to start from 7th February, 2020.
