I got 85 % in JEE paperII , can i expect seat in any IIT colleges in India

Now, let me tell you about the probable rank that your percentile score might be able to fetch you. Since approximately around 145386 students appeared for JEE B. Arch exam so the rank can be predicted from the given formula -

(100- your total percentile score) * 1,45,386/ 100.

So, accordingly, your rank is somewhere around 21,807 - 21,808 when calculated with the percentile given by you. But, this is a rough evaluation so it is best that you wait till the final rank list is announced by NTA. Along with the result of JEE Main Paper-2 April session, authorities will also release the rank list.

According to the previous year trends, we can say that you need to get a rank at least around 3000–4000 for General Category in JEE paper 2 to get into NIT colleges. So, from that, we can calculate that percentile marks you need to score have to be a minimum of 98 percentile, given that a total of 1.45 Lakh students appeared for the exam. So, unfortunately, with this score, you will not get a seat in NIts or IITs. Don't lose hope. f you wish to score better and get into NITs or IITs, do not worry, you have another chance in the April session. So, start preparing for the April session of the exam and the best of the two scores will be taken into account.
