Hi,
With 85 percentile in JEE Main, getting CSE in top government colleges is difficult- even with the female-only (supernumerary) quota. That quota helps, but not enough for highly competitive branches like CSE in top institutes.
In National Institutes of Technology, CSE usually closes at much higher percentiles (95–99+). Same for Indian Institutes of Information Technology.
However, you may have chances in:
-
Lower-ranked NITs (very unlikely for CSE, maybe other branches)
-
Some Government Funded Technical Institutes (possible in later rounds)
-
State government colleges via state quota (better chance for CSE)
Practical advice: keep CSE flexible—consider IT, ECE, or state colleges where your chances are stronger.
