With 86 Percentile getting into NITs can be tough and chances are slimaccording to me wiht this percentile. But you may try for the GFTIs and other private engineering colleges which takes from JEE mains. Like Colleges of westbangal(Kolkata) and private engineering Colleges of Bangalore and you may also try fro Punjab too!
Like you may have a fair chance of getting into Thapar University. And Thapar has compratively better placements record than other colleges that you will get with this percentile.
