You cannot get good NIT,IIIT if you are general candidate.
For getting good NIT, IIITs in CS branch candidate rank should be around 10000 .
For getting such rank percentile of candidate should be 98.
OBC candidate have 6-7 percentile margin from general candidate.
You able to get GFTI,CFTI with this percentile.
You should try for April Jee to increase your percentile for good NIT.
To increase your percentile in a limited time you should do model question paper.

Hello Sampath!
Jee main Rank is still not declared ,so it is very difficult to predict. I suggest you to focus on your april exam and try to score,if you want to be on safer side.
Hi sampath
Let me calcualte rank for percentile you mentioned. Its around 110000. Since you are general there is very little chance for you to get any NIT or IIIT. You also will not get good branches gor this rank. So better is that you should reappear for jee mains in april and perform well so that you can get best branch in good NIT.
All the best!
Hello Sampath,
I would like to congragulate on your score.
I would like to tell you that the core branches are not possible with score as you are from general category but if you are very adamant on getting a NIT , then you can try for the lower branches at the lower NIT's .
I would suggest you to visit the careers360's link given below which has a detailed info of the cutoff for NIT's .
The link for the same is:https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-nits
Hope this helps and all the very best to you!
