It will be really helpful if you mention the name of the exam you're talking about. If it's about JEE then it is a little difficult to get into IITs or NITs but you can definitely look out for other good private colleges like Amity University, LPU, Galgotias University or SRM University. They are reputed colleges for engineering with great placements.
