I got 92.13 in EWS Could I get a mechanical seat in NITS
Well had you told yur CRL rank and home state, it wuld easier for me to decide.
But I from percentile rank list, I'm assuming your rank would be around 65k CRL and if we consider your EWS quota, your CRL rank will equivalent of 48k CRL.
This equivalency I've told is from the best of knowledge and looking at this year students performance.
With this rank, it's very hard for you to expect a mechanical branch at NIT
So I would recommend you to opt for thapur university (though here too chances are also quite low).
1. I've personaly observed my colleages over there, they have far better growth than the students tudying at extremely low NIT
2. Thapur has far better Alma mater than the old NIT's and hence it will have immense difference in the placements.
3. Also infra of Thapur is far better than many NIT's, so this will have added advantage in both academically and improves the NIRF ranking of the college.
