Dear Aspirant ,
If you belongs to General or OBC category you almost have no chance to get an NIT because according to my analysis your rank will be in range 60k-70k as my rank privious year was 65k on 94.2 percentile and at this rank I have not got any NIT . But if the number of students this year are less than privious year then only your rank can improve but I think number of students is going to rise as NTA portal reopens for admission form , so rank on 94 percentile this year is expected to increase and your chances to get NIT is fairly low . But in spot round you may get lower branches in NIT Srinagar , Sikkim etc .
At this percentile best college for you depends on your budget , if you can afford private college with fee approx 3 lakh per annum then Thapar and Chandigarh University are good option for you.
But if your budget is low then GFTIs are good options for you . The best among them are BIT Meshra and SLIET and you can easily get SLIET with this percentile .
So my advice is to focus on next mains exam in July and improve your rank .
But if you belongs to SC/ST you may get NIT Patna , Jamshedpur , Una , Goa etc even you can get NIT Tirichy in spot round for lower branches.
