Let me tell about your rank first. It can be calculated using this formula-
(100- percentile)*number of students appeared/100
That will be in range of 43500-60000.
And generally one can get CSE in NITs and IIITs upto 15000 rank and in GFTIs/CFTIs or good universities upto 22000 to 25000. So, you have very low chances for getting CSE in really good college. You may get in some of private college or college of your state.
So, mention your state so that I can help you further. I would suggest you to prepare for jee mains of april session and get better score.
All the best
Hello,
Yes it is a good score. You will easily clear the cutoff.
However it is quite difficult to predict the exact branch or college you will be getting as it varies every year. You also forgot to mention your Category to which you belong.
You can calculate your rank using the formula - [ 100 - Your Percentile ] x [ Number of candidates appeared divided by 100]
This year around 935000 students appeared for January session, so your rank will be around 46000-48000.
With this rank in general category you have a good probability of getting core branches like Civil, Production , Chemical in some NITs but you won't be able to get Computer Engineering . However, you can get Computer Engineering in some good private colleges like, Amity University, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Chandigarh University, LPU, UPES Dehradun etc.
You can at this link to predict college and branch more accurately -
hope this was helpful.
