I got 97.15 precentail in jee main and general and tamilnadu. can i get seat in nit

congrats for scoring well. your rank is about 26,070.3. yes, u will easily get NIT by this percentile. If you are looking for a CSE branch then you will get top NIT college like  NIT A.P, NIT Manipur only but not like NIT Trichy, Delhi, Jamshedpur, etc because for CSE branch the cutoff for general is about 98%.If you are only interested to get into top NITs instead of IITs then try for the next round of JEE hope you will come out with flying colors because you are very close to the door. otherwise, prepare yourself for IITs from now onwards & get better placed at some IITs instead of giving your April shift exam .Hope you will achieve what you want.

As you got 97.15 percentile in Jee Main January Session, your expected rank would be 24,766. If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1200000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 1200000/100. Based on previous years cutoff, it is hard to get computer science or electronics or mechanical branches in NIT Trichy at this rank, but you can get production engg, instrumentation, civil engg under home state quota.
