I had previously been allotted a seat from State Quotas which i have taken. now, i got a seat from R3 of AIQ but i will not be taking that seat. I will be exiting from AIQ and resigning that seat. Will I still have the State Seat that I had previosly been allotted by the State Quota?
HELLO,
According to general rule you will lose your state quota seat if you are allotted and join a seat in Round 3 of the All India Quota counselling but since you will not be joining the AIQ seat and are only resigning then you will be able to retain your state quota seat.
- Don't join the AIQ R3 seat as once a seat is joined in the mop up round of AIQ then after that you will not be permitted to resign or participate in further rounds of counselling
- As per the medical counselling committee rules for exiting after being allotted a seat , but before joining , usually state that you can exit with forfeiture of your security deposit. Since you have state seat secured , this is the safest option
See as you have not joined the AIQ seat then you can inform the college and MCC of your intent to resign from the allotted AIQ seat , but you will be loosing your security deposit for the AIQ counselling , but you will not lose your original state quota seat.
Hope this Helps!
