i have 58% marks in 12th can i participate jee mains
You haven't stated what category you belong to. Nonetheless, there is no minimum aggregate requirement to qualify for JEE Mains. However, if you wish to attend NITs, IIITs, or CFTIs, you must have a minimum aggregate of 75% in your 12th grade. The results of the eleventh grade are not taken into account. After that, you must meet the 75 percent aggregate criterion in order to sit for JEE Advanced, which is the doorway to IIT entrance.
You haven't mentioned your Category. Nevertheless, to qualify for JEE Mains, there is no minimum aggregate criteria. But if you want to join NITs, IIITs or CFTIs then you should score a minimum aggregate of 75% only in your 12th. 11th marks aren't considered. And then to appear for JEE Advanced which is the gateway for admission to IITs, you will need to fulfill the 75% aggregate condition. Now it is 75% for General Category and 65% for Reserved Categories. So how much you score in 12th is what matters to secure your eligibility for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and JEE Advanced. So what you score in your 12th determines your eligiblity for JEE Advanced and not for JEE Mains. JEE Advanced is the exam for IITs. So if you want to study in IITs, IIITs, CFTIs and NITs, then 65-75% is mandatory. But if your target Colleges are not these, then you needn't worry because you are eligible for JEE Mains. But you are not eligible for admission to IITs, IIITs, NITs and CFTIs as you scored less than the required 65-75% aggregate in your 12th.
Though Class 12 marks have no weightage in the preparation of JEE Main ranks, but most of the well established Institutes of engineering demands an eligibility criteria of 60% marks in 10+2 exam. But also there are some of the Colleges that demands 45% marks in 10+2. But getting a good College is really very difficult.
Hope it would be helpful
