You have a good chance to get a seat in one of the NIT.I recommend you to appear for the April session to improve more to get a better rank since the number of student appear in that session may be greater than this time which can affect your rank, The best of the two will be your final rank.And you should go for advanced exam you can get a chance to IIT also.
