I have a backlog in one paper in 5th semester, will that hamper my application for GATE?

Hey sukumar
You will be applying for GATE in your 7th semester and will be taking the exam in your 8th semester.So , you still have time to clear the backlog even before applying. Anyway, even if you have a backlog you can still apply and give GATE. But you have to clear it before he counselling process.

In my university I can apply for backlog only in 7th semester , that is why Iam concerned.So, will it be affecting my chance at Gate
