hello aspirant,

see mechanical engineering deals with machine design, engineering mechanics, thermodynamics etc are included in mechanical syllabus.

whether information technology deals with discreat mechanics, software pogramming, programming languages. so mechanical and IT are not related with each other. and it is your choices to choose the field according to your likeness. in india right now both mechanical and IT has good market.

so decision is yours.
