i have applied for gate 2021 with a wrong background in photo but i have not done payment, what shall i do now?

Don't worry,its not a big issue at all.
You can do changes during the correction window and you will probably get a mail from the authorities regarding the discrepancy in the image you have uploaded and you will surely get a chance to change that.

In FAQs I have found that , if the mistake happened so, then they said that the application will be rejected. Shall o apply again with different mail id and phone no.?

no.. its only rejected when you do mistake twice after getting chance to do correction so wait for the chance to get correction
