The job profile of a chemical engineer demands work like conducting research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes, developing safety procedures for those who handle hazardous chemicals, designing ad planning the layout of equipments, performing tests and monitoring performance of  processes throughout production, troubleshooting problems with manufacturing processes etc. These tasks are likely to pose minimal or no risk for aggravating your condition. So yeah no problem you can go ahead in this career.
