I have cleared my 10th in 2019. I want to give neet exam as a trial but I am facing a problem due to passing year since I am in 11th.so can I apply for neet 2020? also, I am eligible as per eligibility criteria.

Simu, there is no trial run for NEET. And so, Candidates who are not eligible for NEET cannot appear for NEET even if it is for a mock trial. According to the eligibility criteria, you should be either appearing for your 12th or should have completed your 12th. But if you are in your 11th right now, you will be appearing for your exams in April/May ruling you out for NEET 2020. Age is just one of the eligibility criteria for NEET. There are other factors involved too. So you cannot appear for NEET. You will have to wait until 2021. Here are the eligibility criteria for your reference:

• Indian Nationals, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, and Foreign Nationals
• No upper age limit as of now. The Candidate should be at least 17 years by December 31st of 2020
• You should have completed your 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as your Core Subjects.
• 50% Aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST Candidates.
• NIOS and Private Candidates are also eligible

• You neet to be either appearing for class 12th examination or should have passed it with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have got a a minimum of 50% in pcb if you belong to general category ; while it's only 40% aggregate in pcb for obc, sc and st categories , 45 % aggregate in pcb for pwd category.

• To be eligible for Neet 2020 you need to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December , 2020 .
