I have cleared my practical exams in Painting, Data Entry Operations and Home Science in Regular exam of NIOS, now I am giving theory exams for those subjects, so do I need to give practical exams again for given subjects? please guide me.
Hello Aspirant,
No, you do not have to clear the practical exams again. As you have already cleared the practicals for Painting, Data Entry Operations, and Home Science in the regular NIOS exam, you are now only going to have to sit for the theory. NIOS allows you to carry your passing marks in each individual component (theory/practical), until all components for the subject are cleared.
Hello Nipa,
No, if you have already passed the practical exams in your previous NIOS attempt, you do not need to appear again for the practicals—provided your previous practical marks are still valid and were not marked as absent.
When you're appearing for theory exams now, your earlier practical marks will be carried forward automatically if the subject codes and combination are the same. However, it’s always a good idea to confirm this with the NIOS regional office or through their student portal for clarity and updated information.
Wishing you the best
Thank you!
Hey Nipa:)
Thanks for reaching out!
If you have already passed the practical exams through your regular NIOS exam, and your now appearing only for the theory exams, then you don't need to give practical exams again.NIOS allows to carry forward previous practical marks as long as you had passed them. You only need to reappear for the part that you failed or want to improve.
However,if you choose to improve your practical marks as well then you will have to appear for both theory and practical again.Otherwise, just appearing for the theory is enough.
Hope this clears your doubt!
