I graduated from NIFT Mumbai in 2013 B.F.Tech. Delhi center was my first preference and I could not get through it with a rank of AIR 76.
The point is, all the older centers like Delhi, Mumbai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata get filled up soon so chances are that you will be lucky in the second or subsequent counselling. New centers of NIFT have come up but do find out about the centers that offer the course and also the credibility of the newer centers before accepting the seat offered. Older centers mentioned above have better IT & Industry support and are well equipped for this particular course where you need a lot of exposure in both production and retail sector.
30-33 seats per center is available for this course. So I hope you will be lucky.
