Hello Dear Student,

Whether you are considered “Pass” after failing two subjects depends on your board rules and subject combination.

For CBSE Class 10 and 12 :

If a student fails in one or two subjects , they are usually allowed to appear for compartment exams instead of repeating the whole year.
After clearing the compartment exams, the result is updated to “Pass.”

In some cases, if you have an additional sixth subject , its marks may replace a failed subject according to CBSE rules.

Final result status depends on:

number of failed subjects,
practical marks,
additional subjects, and
the board’s official policy for that year.
