Hi Jishu
JEE Main has qualifying year and age limit restrictions.
Ideally, every candidate gets 3 years to appear in the exam. In your case, if your qualifying year is 2018 and you don't appear this year, you will lose 1 attempt.
Your next two attempts will be in 2019 & 2020.
Hope your query is resolved.
All the best !
Even if you don't appear for jee mains then also your 1 chance will be wasted this year.So i will recommend you to appear for jee mains this year and try to score good marks to get into some engineering colleges as dropping a year may not be benificial for everyone. You have to prepare very hard if you decide to drop.
Choice is yours only!
Good luck.
