I'm sorry but you have very poor chances at getting any IIT or even NIT for the rank that you have secured. Most IITs have their closing cutoffs at 600, and some less popular ones go as high as 1000, but nothing more than that. Some, but on rare occassions, NITs have closing cutoffs at around 1.5k for your category.

But don't worry, you've cleared the exam. That's a feat in itself. This rank should be enough to get a seat in private universities which have their own entrance but allow direct admission for candidates who've cleared national level entrance exams like GATE.

OR better opt for MS if it is possible for you, for which you'd be required to have GRE and TOEFL scores.
