I have got 446 and belong to WB General category. What is the probability in govt/private medical colleges in WB or in any other state?
Hello Aspirant,
You have a good neet score but still not enough for MBBS in Government College. You may get BAMS or BHMS in a government college. But that's also not sure to say. Definitely, you can go for private colleges, because you have a good chance for them. This is a link of some of the best private colleges of India- https://www.careers360.com/compare-colleges . Go through this link once, and then if you find any confusion for which college to choose then compare your preferred colleges from this link https://www.careers360.com/compare-colleges .
Hope this helps and do ask for any further queries.
Last year Mbbs cut off for general candidates in WB under state quota was 479 at Maldah Medical College, Maldah and under AIQ was 539 at Murshidabad Medical College & Hospitals, Murshidabad.
Cut off at private college was 468 at Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Kolkata
Cut off for BDS under state quota was 462 at Burdwan Dental College, Rajbati and 404 at Haldia Institute of Dental Sciences and Research, Purba Medinipur( private ) and under AIQ was 518 at Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College & Hospital, Calcutta.
So going by previous years cut off you can expect to get a seat at private college. However keep in mind that cut off are subject to change each year.
