I have got 7000 rank in jee main in obc category. Can I get ece branch in nit colleges?

Yes you may get in NIT of your homestate.
As the cutoff for homestate quota is very low,you can get CSE also in some NITs.
You can also take advice from your brothers and sisters.

- I will advice you to choose the branch in which you are genuinely interested and don't take branch because of your friends.
- ECE is a good choice you can also apply for government jobs after btech for that you need to crack GATE exam
- You can search about top NITs with placement packages statistics
You can also take advice from your brothers and sisters.
- You can also take admission in THAPAR UNIVERSITY as it is among top 30 Engineering Colleges of INDIA.

As per the previous year cutoffs you have a good chance of getting medium ranked NITs such as NIT Nagpur, NIT Raipur, NIT Rourkela, NIT Bhopal,etc but you will have to wait for some rounds.
You can also get good IIITs such as IIIT Delhi, IIIT Allahabad, IIIT Jabalpur,etc.
