For a percentile of 83, your general category rank or all India rank should be around 1 lakh 70k which is not very good for a general candidate. Also I think you forgot to mention the college about which you want to enquire about, please mention it so that we can help you better. Regarding NITs, its impossible to get NIT at this rank.
