I have got 969 rank in gate instrumentation engineering, is there any chance to get admission in iit.

Below are the rankings for institutes like iit's and nit's.

AIR < 100 for old IITs and AIR < 300 for new IITs

AIR< 200 for NIT trichy, NIT warangal, NIT calicut,

AIR < 500 for 2nd tier NIT like Rourkela, Surat, Bhopal etc

AIR< 700 for lower NIT

All these rank are for general category

Let me point out, new iit's are those who established in and after 2008.
