I have got rank 7843 in mains and 10147 in advance so I should go in nit or in iit

It depends on these two questions that you should ask yourself.
1. Do you want a good department of Engineering?
2. Do you want an IIT just for the sake of it?
If you are interested solely in getting into an IIT with whatever branch possible, you can surely go for it. But if you want to study a core department of Engineering, you should pick an NIT.
