i have low grades in 10 and 12 as i get 8 cgpa and 65 percentage but i get 97 percentile can i get call from any iims

Congratulations for your excellent CAT score!!

If your CAT percentile is to be considered only then you could have chances to get a call from IIMs like IIM L, K, I and S. Also, from all new and ultra new IIMs. But, while shortlisting candidates, CAT percentile scores are not only considered. Academic scores are also considered and your class 10th and 12th scores are not very good. Also, you have not mentioned your graduation marks, if they are also below average then it could be a problem.

There is no surety of getting a call from these colleges or selection as CAT percentile is not the only parameter involved in the selection process. Every college in which you apply for admission prepares a merit list to call students after CAT result. Merit list is prepared based on the aggregate score which comprises of parameters such as CAT marks, academic record (10th, 12th, graduation percentage, work experience, etc. and the weightage of these parameters varies from college to college. Weightage of academic record is generally 10-25%.

Still you have chances to get a call from new IIMs and ultra new IIMs. You can wait for the shortlist. Also, remember that if you will have to prepare very hard for the second round if you get shortlisted. Hope for the best!

You have build a average academic record of 10th, 12th and graduation. But, you have secured a good percentile in CAT exam. After every CAT exam every IIM prepares a merit list to call candidates for next round of interview based on your aggregate score which comprises of many parameters such as CAT marks, 10th, 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, whose weight varies for all different IIMs. As per your percentile you will get call from all the old IIMs, as well as new IIMs. You will get call from:

1. IIM Lucknow
2. IIM Indore
3. IIM Nagpur
4. IIM Sambalpur
5. IIM Rohtak
6. IIM trichy and many more.

Once you get call from IIM, you have to go through the WAT exam and interview process. On clearing both an another merit list will be prepared, which will select you to get enter into IIM.

Based on 97 percentile , you have the chances getting  IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Jammu, IIM Rohtak, IIM Sirmaur etc. With the CAT PAthfinder tool you can check the changes for getting seat in IIM and with the  CAT score every college in which you apply prepare a merit list for the next round to call the students of interview based on your aggregate score on various parameters like 10th, 12th and Graduation percentage, Work Experience etc. whose weightage varies for all different colleges.
