I have not yet registered for SSC CGL 2026, I changed my name before bachlors but was not able to use it in bachlors, so i have my old name on 10th,12th and bachlors degree. Now i want to use my new name so should i put old name first and new name on changed name section right?

When completing the SSC One-Time Registration (OTR), your name should generally match the name recorded on your Matriculation (Class 10) certificate, as SSC uses this document as the primary proof of identity and date of birth.

If you have legally changed your name, follow these steps:

Name Field

• Enter your name exactly as it appears on your Class 10 certificate.

• Ensure the spelling, order, and initials match the document precisely.

Name Change Declaration

• If the registration form asks whether you have ever changed your name, select "Yes" .

Supporting Documents
Keep the original documents related to your name change ready, such as:

• Gazette Notification

• Name Change Certificate

• Affidavit

• Marriage Certificate (if applicable)

• Any other legally accepted proof of name change

Document Verification
During document verification or later stages of recruitment, SSC may require proof establishing that both names belong to the same person. Therefore, ensure that all supporting documents are valid and consistent.
