i have qualified gate 2017 from mechanical.but i found i have colour blindness.so which branch is preferable in any IIT or nit for m.tech
New: GATE 2027 Syllabus
Admission Alert: Ahmedabad University inviting applications for Masters of Technology
Hello Aspirant,
Yes, candidates who are suffering color blindness can get admission in IITs and NITs. There is no such restriction on that. But when it comes to the placement, many core companies of the branches such as mining, petroleum, mechanical, civil etc. put a condition that the candidate should not be color blind as it is a necessary requirement for them to have have healthy color identifiable eyes. So, I would suggest you to choose those branches which do not need such requirements such as CSE, AI, etc.
Thankyou!
