I have qualified in the jee advanced exam but under Preparatory rank 826 in ST category , should i take admissiom into iit .

Well, yes you may opt for the preparatory course offered by IIT instead of getting admission into some other engineering colleges in any branch or just dropping for one year and preparing. This preparatory course provides ample opportunities for the candidates to score well in the examination and get admission into that particular college in some good branch.

But still i have the option of getting admission in some of the NITS and my category rank was 1216 in ST .. I am very muxh confused whether to go to Nit or IIT preparatory course .
