I have qualified ugc net in PWD category. But the PSC has advertised 2 Assistant Professor posts in EWS category. I possess ews category too. Would i still be eligible for the posts under the EWS category since i have UGC NET in PWD? please claer the doubt.

Yes, you may be eligible , but it depends on the PSC recruitment notification .

The UGC NET category under which you qualified (PwD) and the reservation category under which you apply for a job (EWS) are not always required to be the same.

If:

• You have qualified UGC NET , and
• You possess a valid EWS certificate as required by the PSC notification,

then you can generally apply for EWS posts , provided the notification does not specifically require candidates to have qualified UGC NET under the same reservation category.

Your UGC NET qualification remains valid , irrespective of the category through which you qualified. The category for recruitment is governed by the eligibility and reservation rules mentioned in the PSC advertisement.
