I have reported at college and opt for Upgradation and payed the fees and in second round of counseling how is the paid....is that given back to me or transferred to new college... kerala self finance private medical Colleges
Hello there,
Yes. For Kerala NEET-UG counselling, if you were allotted a higher-preference college in Round 2 after choosing upgradation, the fee you already paid at the previous self-financing private medical college is not normally lost.
The exact treatment depends on which fee you paid:
CEE registration fee: Kerala’s rules provide for refund in specified circumstances; for private self-financing medical and dental colleges, the registration fee is generally refunded after the admission closing date if the candidate has taken admission.
Tuition/college fee paid directly to your old college: This is handled according to the CEE allotment/exit rules and the college’s fee-refund, transfer procedure. Do not assume it will automatically be transferred to the new college.
If you are upgraded and actually join the new allotted college, you should keep the old college fee receipt and new allotment memo and ask both colleges about the adjustment or refund process.
CEE Kerala has published the 2026 Second Phase Centralised Allotment for MBBS/BDS, so the current year's allotment rules should be followed.
If you tell me how much you paid and whether it was paid to CEE or directly to the private medical college, I can explain exactly how much should be refunded or adjusted and by whom. Best wishes! We hope that your problem gets resolved soon.
