After every exam the concerned officials release results. You can get to know your result at that time.
You haven't mentioned what exam you are asking about. If you are asking about any mock test or any other test you have appeared online to know your performance then you have got in few days or on that day itself. you might have lost that information may be due to logging out. if you login then you might see it.
If you are asking about any entrance exam at state level or national level then there are people who releases it. after you appear your exam you can get your results when the officials have mentioned.
