I have scored 42/100 and I am from General Merit Category what might be the range of ranking?

Thanks for approaching us. Are you referring to PGCET MBA entrance exam? If yes, I believe you have checked the answer key of PGCET and derived your score; as the result dates are not yet confirmed by the conducting authority. It is tentatively said that the result of PGCET MBA will be declared around the third week of August, 2018.

Now to add to what Zubin mentioned, it is difficult to state your exact rank as it depends much on the overall scores/ranks of rest of the test takers. However, you can assume your rank by visiting the following articles-

Your expected rank range should be within 8000 to 11000 ubder PGCET MBA as per trends.

For othe rcategories cutoff can be between 5000 to 7000.
