i have scored 83.7 in Jee mains (2020)....will i get seat in good government college? and should i write the upcoming 2nd jee main?

Well since you have scored 83.7 percentile in JEE Mains then the chances that you will get admission into a good government college depends upon your Category. If you are in GENERAL Category then sorry to inform you..but according to previous year stats the general cutoff percentile for the year 2019 was 89.75 percentile so you are unqualified..If you fall under Gen-Ews then you have qualified JEE Mains but you won't be able to get a Good NIT with Good Branch as well. There is very low chance of getting good government college.
If you are an OBC Candidate then you might get a Good NIT but don't expect a good Branch even if you get one. If you come under ST/SC then you will get a good NIT and might get a decent Branch and if you go for lower NITs then you might let Good Branch as well.
And talking about whether you should give the 2nd attempt or not...you need to keep one thing in mind that there is always space for improvement so you must surely go for the 2nd attempt with your full force. That way you might hopefully get your desired college along with the Branch.

see you have not mentioned whether 83.7 is the score out of 300 in jee main exam or it is your percentile, if you have got 83.7 percentile you have really less chances in government colleges. and your general rank will be around 90,000+, so at this rank it becomes difficult to get government colleges, it would be better if you try again in jee main april session exam.
