There are many colleges which provide merit based admissions to the engineering programs based upon the candidates' performance in higher secondary exams. Here is a list of few of them:

Jaypee institute of industrial technology
SASTRA University
Anna University (By TNEA Counselling)
Thapar University (only a small portion filled on the basis of board's score)
Chitkara University
