I have submitted the apeamcet application, by selecting the region as non local unknowingly. what will be the impact on couselling.

85% seats of total seats are reserved for local candidates and rest 15% seats are reserved for non-local candidates. The cut off for local candidates will be less while the cut off for non-local candidates will be higher. For example if a candidate under local category must have 20000 rank to get seat in a college 'A' in a branch 'B' then a candidate under non-local category must have 15000 rank to get seat in college 'A' in the same branch.You will not be eligible to claim local reservation if the information provided by you is incorrect.
