Hello aspirant!!! You can give improvement exam for your 12th so that you can clear the 75 percent criteria. Since you have qualified jee you already know what it takes to crack the exam and so you can repeat the performance again. As far as low rank is concerned you should try to introspect what errors you made this year and try to rectify them. Learn from your mistakes and strengthen your weak topics. If you do that then definitely you can get a good rank this time. And don't slack off since you have just an year now instead of 2, keep a strong mind and give everything you have got. I scored 80% in cbse board (400) marks and I'm general so what are you saying about 75% criteria I don't understand

You said in the question that your boards score was not sufficient, so obviously i thought that you haven't scored above 75 which is an eligibility criteria for jee. But since you have scored above 75 then there is no need for improvement exam and you can solely focus on jee. Getting 75 percent is just an eligibility criteria which u don't need to worry about since u have cleared it. Hope this solves your doubt

If your CBSE boards marks is not sufficient then your mains marks will not matter at all. Therefore, I would suggest you to go for other options like BITSAT. Its equally good. As you have planned to take drop, I guess getting into BITS pilani would make your decision worth it.

Is there not any other way instead of waiting a year bcoz I have already waited for a year?If then plz reply. I have scored 80%in cbse board and I'm general.
If you have 80% marks then you are elligible now .
But what I have read in newspaper is for general to get admission in it your score must be418 or above
